My theory is that Bran goes
back in time and becomes Bran the Builder and builds Winterfell around himself
in the crypts. He has gone to see the
3EC finds out that he was the one to make Hodor the way he was by linking his
past self with his current self. This in
essences gave Hodor PTSD and he became traumatized at what he would eventually
have to do. On his way back to
Winterfell the following conversation takes place:
So he makes it back to Winterfell and has the following
conversation with Meera:
After that he has the following conversation with Sansa:
I think it is the whole Harry
Potter thing going on. After the
conversation with Sansa he looks at the weirwood and looks upon it
knowingly. I think he knows that he is
sitting in the Winterfell weirwood as an old man who has lived a long life making himself ready to
face the Night King. So, with
that said what if you were told the fate of the world was in your hands and you
had to face an enemy who had an Army of the Dead. I think you would be a bit distant also. He has spent that entire time treating the
world as a chess game to defeat the Night King.
What will ground Bran and make him human and Bran again is his
family. That is why he chose the
Winterfell weirwood to make his home. In
the books it was just the opposite. The
Winterfell weirwood knew who he was but he didn't put it together then:
Bran looked down, and felt his insides turn to water. The ground was
rushing up at him now. The whole world was spread out below him, a tapestry of
white and brown and green. He could see everything so clearly that for a moment
he forgot to be afraid. He could see the whole realm, and everyone in it.
He saw Winterfell as the eagles see it, the tall towers looking squat
and stubby from above, the castle walls just lines in the dirt. He saw Maester
Luwin on his balcony, studying the sky through a polished bronze tube and
frowning as he made notes in a book. He saw his brother Robb, taller and
stronger than he remembered him, practicing swordplay in the yard with real
steel in his hand. He saw Hodor, the simple giant from the stables, carrying an
anvil to Mikken’s forge, hefting it onto his shoulder as easily as another man
might heft a bale of hay. At the heart of the godswood, the great white weirwood
brooded over its reflection in the black pool, its leaves rustling in a chill
wind. When it felt Bran watching, it lifted its eyes from the still waters and
stared back at him knowingly.
When the time comes where he
will have to jump back, I think he will be able to do it because he knows he
already has. I think the Night King will
come upon him to kill him and Bran will disappear mysteriously. He may be left or asks them to leave him
during their retreat from the Battle for Winterfell. When this happens, it will be the first time
since the show started that Bran only exists once.
Comments encouraged. Love to hear the idea’s of
others. Most believe that since I present my idea’s as “fact like” I’m
not open to change my viewpoints which is far from the truth. I simply
look at the information presented and go from there. If you can shine a
light on another way of thinking that opens the door to debate.
