The Tuatha'an were originally Da'shain Aiel who followed the Way of the Leaf. The Way of the Leaf defines how the Tuatha'an interact with
outsiders. Tuatha'an
will never do any violence, be it in anger or self-defense, not even to save
their own life or that of another. If they feel that
violence or physical confrontation may ensue, they will simply hide or leave
the area. They also do not stay near areas where population is concentrated, as
there is a greater propensity for violence in larger settlements. Their beliefs
and actions frequently earn them repudiation by common folk.

After the Aiel were repeatedly attacked by bandits, Sulwin and
several others of the Aiel defied Adan, then leader of the Jenn Aiel. They
abandoned the items of the One Power entrusted to them by the Aes Sedai and
took their wagons in search of the "song" (may refer to the prologue of "The
Eye of the World", in which the mad Lews Therin asks Ishamael if he has
"the Voice" so as to participate in "the Singing"). This
group became the Tuatha'an. Those who kept to the Way continued to try and find a place of safety. They adopted the name "Jenn" and eventually founded the city of Rhuidean.

In the A Song of Ice and Fire novels, Naath, known to the ancients as the Isle of Butterflies, is a
large, curving island. It is known as a land of peace where war does not exist.
The people of Naath are known as Naathi, also known as the Peaceful People. As is typical of the peoples of the continent
of Sothoryos, the Naathi are dark-skinned. In addition, typical Naathi features
are a flat face and golden eyes. Naath is located on the
same line of longitude as Old Valyria, though much further south and separated
by a great distance across the Summer Sea.
Old Valyria |
The Naathi worship a
single deity called the Lord of Harmony, who created the entire universe and
everything in it. Due to their religious beliefs the Naathi refuse to harm any
living thing, abstaining from violence and martial endeavors. As a result the
Naathi are vegetarians, refusing to eat the flesh of animals, and their main
diet is fruit. Their
main recreational activity is the making of music.
Unfortunately, because of
their tranquil nature, the peaceful Naathi are a favored target for slavers.
They raid the island's coastal areas and take numerous captives back to nearby
Slaver's Bay (to the northeast), or even to the Free Cities (to the northwest),
both of which are in the continent of Essos to the north.
Missandei is the one representative in the Game of Thrones from Naath who we have been introduced to. Missandei's village was attacked and burned by slavers when she was five years old, and she was captured and taken to the slaver-city of Astapor.

Will we learn later that somehow the Naathi people have some connection with the Dothraki people as well as the city of Vaes Dothrak? Will we learn that artifacts from the Age of Hero's may be stored here as was the case with Rhuidean?
Is the fact that they have golden eyes be a nod to Perrin Aybara, one of the three Ta'veren in the series, who because of his bright yellow, even golden eyes earned him the nickname "Goldeneyes".
Is it me or do artist renditions of Rhuidean and Old Valyria not look similar?

Comments encouraged. Love to hear the idea’s of others. Most believe that since I present my idea’s as “fact like” I’m not open to change my viewpoints which is far from the truth. I simply look at the information presented and go from there. If you can shine a light on another way of thinking that opens the door to debate.
