Gareth Bryne is a former
Captain-General of the Queen's Guard in Andor, in which he also served in the
capacity of First Prince of the Sword to Queen Morgase Trakand, although they
weren't related. His sigil is three golden stars, each of five rays. The sign
of House Bryne is a bull wearing a collar of roses. He is well known as one of
the Five Great Captains, the finest generals in the Westlands, as well as a
veteran blademaster. He is bonded to Siuan Sanche, an Aes Sedai of the BlueAjah and former Amyrlin Seat as her Warder, and is also her husband.

Little is known of Bryne's
early life, save he was born in Kore Springs, a small town in Braem Wood in the
northeast of Andor. His father was presumably a noble, as Bryne later returns
to the village as their lord. He joined the Queen's Guard in the 950s or 960s
NE and rose to the rank of Captain-General during the reign of Queen MordrellenMantear. He served Queen Mordrellen and, after the Third Succession War, Queen
Morgase Trakand, ably and well. He is typically referred to as an extremely
capable and experienced warrior and influential member of the Andoran
government, likely a result of resolution of conflicts unmentioned.
He served both Queen
Mordrellen and Queen Morgase as First Prince of the Sword, the former after the
disappearance of her son Luc, and the latter until her son Gawyn came of age,
although before this could happen he was dismissed from service by Morgase on
the advice of Lord Gaebril, in 999 NE.
After his dismissal, Bryne
headed back to his family's manor in Kore Springs. He stays there with a small
group of retainers, taking an active part of the village's affairs, albeit
reluctantly. It's there that he had a run-in with Siuan Sanche, Leane and Min,
who had caused some damage to a farmer's homestead, and he dealt out their
punishment. When they ran away Bryne set out after them, and found them along
with the rebel Aes Sedai in Salidar.
He presented himself
before the Sisters there and explained why he had come, learning that it is the
former Amyrlin Siuan Sanche he had been pursuing. After he was 'given' the
runaways so they may fulfill their sentences, the rebel Aes Sedai approached
Bryne about building an army for them. He grudgingly agreed, and has developed
a growing respect for the Amyrlin Seat of the rebels, Egwene al'Vere. He says
that he will follow where she leads, and that his army is hers to command. It
is also strongly impled that he is in love with Siuan, and her with him, though
their strong wills mean that a love-hate relationship seems to have formed.
Egwene |
The Amyrlin Seat herself had gone in secret to seal Northharbor,
and her boat had been found overturned and caught in the reeds. Survival in the swift, icry currents of
Erinin was unlikely, and hour by hour it had become more so, until certainty
hardened. The Amyrlin Seat was dead.
Once they find out that Egwene is alive she tells them through Tel’aran’rhiod
that she does not wish that they try and rescue her as she is trying to heal
hearts and minds and bring the fractured White Tower back together as a captive
of Elaida the Amyrlin Seat within the White Tower.
Ser Barristan Selmy,
called Barristan the Bold, is a knight from House Selmy. He is a celebrated
hero and a member of the Kingsguard, serving throughout a time when the
Kingsguard were considered to be the greatest knights of the realm.
Selmy is one of the most
skilled and respected knights in the Seven Kingdoms.
Barristan was named to the
Kingsguard at the age of twenty-three and swore his vows before Ser Gerold Hightower, when King Jaehaerys II Targaryen bestowed the white cloak on him.
Selmy is tall and has blue
eyes which some consider to be sad. He is an older man, with long white hair
and lined features. Some consider him handsome, at least for an older man.
Despite advanced age, he looks strong and graceful and every bit the skilled
knight he was in his youth. During his time in the Kingsguard, like all other
members, he wore white, from his suit of enameled scale armor to his shield.
When in the Kingsguard in King's Landing, he was clean shaven, but he grew a
long white beard when he went to find Daenerys.
At the beginning ofA Song
of Ice and Fire, Ser Barristan serves loyally as Lord Commander of King Robert Baratheon's Kingsguard. He, Lord Renly Baratheon, and Ser Ilyn Payne arrive as
an honor guard to the procession led by Robert and his new Hand of the King,
Lord Eddard Stark, on their way back to King's Landing from Winterfell. During
the Hand's tourney, Barristan is only defeated by Ser Jaime Lannister after
three tilts, having defeated men ten and twenty years younger in his first two
contests.
He remained a formidable
fighter even in his advanced years, winning the championship of a tourney at
King's Landing at the age of 57, and unhorsing Sandor Clegane in a tilt in the
tourney on Prince Joffrey's name day, just a year prior to the outbreak of the
War of the Five Kings.
Barristan is present on
the small council when King Robert orders the death of the pregnant Daenerys
Targaryen. He and Eddard are the only council members who protest the move. He
accompanies King Robert on his ill-fated boar hunt in the kingswood which leads
to the death of the king.
In an unprecedented move
and on Varys's suggestion, Barristan is dismissed from the Kingsguard and the
small council by the new king, Joffrey Baratheon, on grounds of old age, the
implied accusation being that he did not keep King Robert safe. The Lannisters'
motivations, however, are to allow Joffrey to give a white cloak to his
"dog," Sandor Clegane, and so Cersei Lannister can place her brother
Jaime as the new Lord Commander with a seat on the small council. Varys's
motivations become clear later, as he can now send Selmy to Illyrio, to restore
him into Targaryen service with Daenerys. Outraged by his removal, Ser
Barristan throws down his sword and leaves the throne room. After Selmy leaves the
room the king orders him seized and questioned for a perceived threat uttered
in the heat of his dismissal. Selmy enters the White Sword Tower to edit his
White Book entry, dutifully recording his own dismissal. Upon leaving the Red
Keep Janos Slynt orders his men to seize Barristan. Even though he doesn't have
his sword, Selmy kills the Gold Cloaks sent after him and flees the castle.
Insulted by his dismissal
from the Kingsguard, Selmy makes his way across the Narrow Sea to Astapor and
seeks out Daenerys Targaryen.
Ser Barristan tracks down
Daenerys Targaryen to Astapor in Slaver's Bay, where he saves her from an
assassination attempt by a member of the Warlocks of Qarth, preventing a
Manticore from harming her. Ser Jorah identifies him to the young queen, and
Selmy quickly bows to proclaim his loyalty to her, explaining that in serving
her, he hopes to make amends for his failure to protect her family in Robert'sRebellion. Declaring that she is the rightful Queen of the Seven Kingdoms, he
asks to serve in her Queensguard.
In Meereen, as a token of
her esteem, Daenerys Targaryen gifts Ser Barristan Selmy, Lord Commander of her
Queensguard, with armor.
The mail is gilded, finely
wrought, the links as supple as good leather, the plate enameled, hard as ice
and bright as new fallen snow. A dagger goes on one hip, his longsword on the
other; it hangs from a white leather belt with golden buckles. Last of all he
fastens a long white cloak about his shoulders.
The helm has a narrow eye
slit and ornate dragon’s wings which are splendid to look upon.
On the other side of the
world, Varys informs the Small Council that Barristan did not take kindly to
his dismissal from the Kingsguard, and is now one of Daenerys's advisors.
Cersei dismisses Barristan as an old man who was not fit to protect Joffrey. Tywin
disagrees, saying her decision to dismiss Barristan was as insulting as it was
stupid, because of the old knight's reputation; he also points out that Joffrey
did not die under Barristan's watch.
After Daenerys's departure on
Drogon's back, Barristan assumes the title of Hand of the Queen within
Meereen. Although many in Meereen
suspect that she is dead, Daenerys is alive with Drogon, however, thousands of
leagues away at a hill in the Dothraki sea which she names Dragonstone after
her birthplace. She and her dragon are eventually discovered by the khalasar of
Khal Jhaqo

Gareth Bryne hears that
Gaebril replaced most of the Queen's Guard in Caemlyn with his own men.
Barristan Selmy is
replaced by the Lannisters whose motivation is to to allow Joffrey to give a
white cloak to his "dog," Sandor Clegane, and so Cersei Lannister can
place her brother Jaime as the new Lord Commander with a seat on the small
council. Basically filling the ranks
with their own men.
Gareth Bryne leads his
armies in the name of Egwene al'Vere; Egwene is the Amyrlin Seat; The Amyrin
Seat is known as "Mother" to all the "Sister's" of the Aes
Sedai.
Barristan Selmy serves as
Lord Commander of the Queensguard for Daenerys Targaryen; Mhysa is a term in
the old Ghiscari language that means "Mother". This is the term used by the freed people of
Yunkai to refer to Daenerys when she enters the city. She is also known as the "Mother of Dragons".
Will Daenerys fine herself in a similar situation as Egwene and try and bring her fractured Khalasar back together? Does Khal Jhaqo take the place of Elaida in the Wheel of Time?

I am not saying that the Game of Thrones is word for word or concept for concept the Wheel of Time but the similarities that exists between the two shows are tremendous in my opinion. I am not the only one who has seen the similarities but I may be the first to put it down in this way in presenting all of what I see in one place letting you see them as I do. Is it too much of a stretch for me to suggest that I know how the Game of Thrones may end based upon how the Wheel of Times ended. Everybody else is doing the same thing also. If I'm wrong who cares as I am just expressing my ideas.

since I present my idea’s as “fact like” I’m not open to change my viewpoints
which is far from the truth. I simply look at the information presented
